This week—Join the new subscriber chat
A group chat for smart educators and parents to share, ask questions and get answers
For today’s This week in the science of learning, I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: The Bell Ringer subscriber chat.
I’m thinking of it like a conversation space exclusively for subscribers—kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post questions, ideas and pieces of research that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
If you’re a paying subscriber, there’s an added bonus—you can post your own questions and start your own threads.
My goal is to have a post-Twitter place where the smartest people I know can have nuanced discussions about research, ideas and practice without the ads, bots and crazies.
I just posted the first chat with a question that’s been bugging me:
How to get started
Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. You can also access chat on the web.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
I hope to hear from you—let’s chat soon!
